“Mad-Libbing” One of My Tweets

The always excellent Barry Ritholtz had some fun with one of my recent tweets (“tweet” = a comment on Twitter). For those of you that don’t know, Barry is a Wall Street Money Manager, the  author of The Big Picture Blog and of the best-selling book Bailout Nation.

This is what I wrote on Twitter yesterday:

In a financial world ruled by #neokeynesians, we will continue to be hit with “sudden” crises as a result of monetary/financial ‘stimulus

Barry then reposted the sentence, leaving 2 blanks where ‘neokeynesians’ and

Barry Ritholtz

‘monetary/financial stimulus’ were and asked his readers to come up with fun ideas to fill in the blanks – sort of like those Mad Libs books from the 1980’s. Here’s the post and what his readers came up with (under ‘comments’):

The Big Picture – Awesome Generic Sentence

A sample of the answers:

In a financial world ruled by Snooki, we will continue to be hit with “sudden” crisis as a result of Jorge Posada.

In a financial world ruled by Alan Greenspan we will continue to be hit with ‘sudden’ crises as a result of notably rare events that occur with stunning regularity.

In a financial world ruled by Rapists, we will continue to be hit with “sudden” crises as a result of Maid Service. (reference to IMF President D. Strauss-Kahn)

Barry ‘tweets’ often and writes some good stuff on his blog. He is an astute market observer and appears often on financial TV.  here is the full bio on Barry from his site: Barry’s CV
