Often when thinking of a goal or objective, the size and work involved seems simply overwhelming. It helps though to break it down into smaller pieces. And what I found really helpful is to write those pieces on an old fashioned piece of paper.
Yes I use many modern tools of organization and goal setting including Evernote for example. But nothing helps brings goal to life as much as writing it down by hand.
If you are contemplating a goal and it seems to overwhelming to think about, try breaking it down on paper (ideally with a smooth, high quality pen!). See how you feel about that goal after that exercise. And then tackle those steps little by little.
