Jim Grant was a most informative guest on CNBC yesterday (for those of you that don’t know Jim – financial neophytes read Money Magazine, slightly more sophisticated people read the WSJ, but people who deal with serious money read people like Jim).

One of his many interesting comments was that “if the Fed were audited” like any other bank it would be “shut down.” See the video here:
