Another Interesting Face in Economic Development

Following up my article on Sunday regarding Dambisa Moyo and her efforts to change the paradigm of attitudes toward global aid to developing countries, I was forwarded this article from a friend:

Economist – Jacqueline Novogratz

She has views similar to Miss Moyo’s and to the editors of “In the River They Swim.” She also has a running microfinance firm called Acumen which is making a difference. Maybe attitudes are changing and global adi dollars will be used to help raise the dignity and independence of the individual person not just make the donor feel better about providing some food and blankets.
