Interesting video interviewing Dambisa Moyo on why the current practices of economic aid to Africa are hurting Africa and what should be done:

if you want to learn more about Dambisa Moyo, her book, and her efforts, go to her website: http://www.dambisamoyo.com/

Another excellent book recommendation: “In the River They Swim” is an excellent collection of essays with interesting views and recommendations on enterprise solutions to global poverty.

I highly recommend you explore both of these resources and look into the questions about aid to Africa. The world has donated over $1 trillion and Africa is worse off now than in the past. It’s time to empower Africans not create dependants out of them. Fortunately there are signs in a few countries of this happening. Let’s hope for more.
