Social Security – Assumptions No Good?

I talked in the past about “assumptions” made by government economic forecasters and such and how being wrong about assumptions (such as the growth assumptions made by the current economic team) can cause serious problems for our future budget (see prior article HERE). The New York Times had an interesting article yesterday on how incorrect assumptions can affect Medicare and Social Security:

Apparently those incorrect assumptions might cause these programs to break even sooner. How fun!
